Hyper Vyper is a game developed by The Last Resistance - a one man studio founded by James “ClouD1” Caron. A youth misspent waging war online led James to an adolescence and young-adulthood filled with video game tournaments of all genres. Success here ultimately transitioned to an opportunity in the gaming industry on Epic Games’ in-house Competitive Team for Paragon.
James got a chance to look behind the veil and eventually found what he’d been searching for - the game that could never get old: Game Development. After months of peppering every dev who would listen to him with millions of questions daily, he got an opportunity to implement a Paragon hero remake. And then Fortnite happened.
Undeterred, James began learning the Fortnite editor with gusto. Eventually he became proficient enough that opportunity came back around, and many of his pet projects became early Fortnite items (including Impulse Grenades and the Grappler).
Since then, he’s been focused on paying forward the joy he had to the current generation of gamers. The work continues as The Last Resistance.
